Childcare

The Family Information Service (FIS) provides services for children aged 0 - 12 years on:

• local child care, child minders, day nurseries, preschools, holiday schemes
• information on how to check if your childcare provider is registered
• information on entitlement to free early education sessions for 3 and 4 year olds
• under 12's activities and stay and play groups
• local schools

Thinking of returning to education, employment or training?

If you are under 20 years of age and would like to return to studying but are worried about the cost of childcare, you may be entitled to support from Care to Learn, up to £160 per week.  For full details about this scheme click here
