Where can I get help or advice
For general medical problems you should visit your local doctor. Although the problem might be embarrassing for you, your doctor will have seen it all before and certainly won’t be shocked, so pluck up the courage and go as soon as possible. If it helps, take a friend along with you. Remember – you usually have to make an appointment to see a doctor or nurse.
If the problem is a personal matter rather than a medical problem, there are people you can speak to in confidence. For example, you could call into your local One Stop shop and speak to an Adviser. To find an office in your local area

Some areas have NHS walk-in centres where you can get out-of-hours emergency treatment or advice without an appointment. In Coventry there is a walk-in centre based near the city centre in Stoney Stanton Road (Tel: 024 7624 6789) which is open Monday - Friday, 10.00 am - 10.00 pm. At weekends and bank holidays the hours are 7.00 am - 10.00 pm
